The Legislative Council of Hong Kong (LegCo) passed a new law called the Product Eco-responsibility (Amendment) Bill 2023. The ban focuses on regulating disposable plastic tableware, the things we often use once and then throw away to the landfill. The changes are set in two phases. The first phase has been rolled out on April 22, 2024.
香港立法會通過了一項《2023 年產品環保責任( 修訂) 條例草案》的新法例。這新條例草案讓我們香港邁向永續發展及更綠色的未來！那麼這條例關於什麼呢？我們經常使用一次性塑膠餐具餐盒，然後隨手丟到垃圾桶，再運送到堆填區棄置。不過塑膠需要長達百年來降解，亦會釋放出甲烷，對生態環境影響極為深遠。這次餐具走塑條例的重點是禁止在本地銷售即棄膠餐具和禁止餐飲處所向顧客提供九類即棄膠餐具。管制分兩個階段進行。第一階段已於 2024 年 4 月 22 日開始實施。
